Investing in British Bat Making

Today marks a massive step forward for B3 Cricket.

Last week, we welcomed Alex Hohenkerk to the business - one of the most respected bat makers in the world, with nearly 20 years of experience at the very highest level of the craft.

Alex joins us as Master Bat Maker and Operations Director of our new southern branch, leading our expansion into the South of England - a major step in bringing the full B3 experience closer to more players.

As an independent UK bat maker, we’ve always believed in doing things properly: investing in our craft, pushing standards, and constantly looking for ways to improve what we offer to players.

Made in England

While many in the cricket market continue to shift towards cheaper imports and outsourced production, we remain firmly committed to investing in UK bat making, using genuine English willow and supporting the future of British craftsmanship.

Alex’s reputation in the game speaks for itself. More importantly, he shares the same mindset we’ve built B3 Cricket on - a relentless focus on quality, performance, and continuous improvement.

This isn’t about changing what we do. It’s about strengthening it.

Since 2012, B3 has combined precision technology with traditional craftsmanship to produce consistent, high-performance cricket bats for players at every level.

Bringing Alex into the team, alongside Gavin Corns (Production Director) and our existing bat-making team, adds another level of expertise and reinforces everything we stand for.

The B3 South premises is currently being fitted out and will soon become a fully operational bat-making facility and showroom. We’ll be announcing the exact location and opening details very soon, so keep an eye on our socials and your email inbox.

This is a big moment for B3 and a significant investment in the future of independent UK bat making - we would very much appreciate you sharing this news with your cricketing friends.
